IIIMaranatha offers ROTC (Reserve Officer Training Corps) programs for the Army by partnering with the Department of Military Science & Leadership at UW-Madison to produce leaders who will be commissioned as Second Lieutenants in the U. S. Army. All the classes and most of the labs are held on Maranatha's campus. IIIThe ROTC program at Maranatha is open to all majors and can be combined with an Organizational Leadership minor or concentration. Active and reserve opportunities exist in many branches including, but not limited to, military intelligence, aviation, engineering, infantry, armor, and logistics. Opportunities for further education include law, medical, and chaplain school. IIIROTC programs accept young people who are athletes, leaders, and scholars. These students receive training in leadership skills they can use for the rest of their life. Many former officers have used their ROTC leadership skills to become successful business or government leaders. IIIIn addition to providing quality leadership training, ROTC programs award scholarships to students to help them pay for college. All eligible Maranatha students who attend the 2006 summer Leadership Training Camp will receive a full scholarship. Eligible nursing students will also receive a full scholarship. Additional ROTC summer programs such as the Airborne School and Leadership Internships are also available to cadets. |
