CPT Aeschliman was born in Ft. Madison, IA. He graduated from Morehead State University with a BS in Agricultural Science in May of 2004. He received a 3-year scholarship at the end of his first year of school and was commissioned on Active duty in Air Defense Artillery.

CPT Aeschliman attended ADA OBC at Ft. Bliss, TX. He returned to Morehead State University for two weeks to be a Hometown Recruiter. His first unit was Alpha Battery, 3rd Battalion, 43rd Air Defense Artillery, Ft. Bliss, TX where he was the Launcher Platoon Leader. His unit was then rotated to Gwangju, ROK where they were re-flagged as Bravo Battery, 2nd Battalion, 1st Air Defense Artillery where he served as the Launcher Platoon Leader for 6 months and then the Headquarters Platoon Leader for 6 months. The unit then returned to Ft. Bliss and was again re-flagged as Delta Battery, 5th Battalion, 52nd Air and Missile Defense where he was the Fire Control Platoon Leader for a month and then took command of the Delta Battery �Outlaws� for 17 months. He is now the Training Officer for the Mighty Badger Battalion of the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
