MAJ Scott Nos is native of Medina, OH. He graduated from Miami University of Ohio in 1985 with a BA in Aeronautics. He received his commission as an Ensign in the US Navy after attending Aviation Officers Candidate School in Pensacola FL. He attended basic Navigator school in Pensacola FL, he then attended advanced school at Moffett Field, CA and Mather AFB in Sacramento, CA. He became a Navigator/Tactical Coordinator on Anti-Submarine Warfare aircraft P-3 Orions. He served in Barbers Point HI, Keflavik Iceland, San Diego CA, and Bangor WA. He received his MBA in Aviation from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in March 1999.

MAJ Nos left the Navy in 2001. After a 5 year absence from the military he applied for and was accepted to receive a direct appointment as a CPT in the US Army Reserve on July 4th 2006. He branched as an Engineer and was assigned as a TPU with the OW Oshkosh ROTC program as an APMS at Ripon college. In May of 2007 he deployed with the 391st MP BN with duty at the Detainee Facility at Camp Bucca. While on deployment, MAJ Nos was tasked to serve as assistant Brigade EN under the 181FA BDE in a demanding operational environment.

After returning from Iraq, MAJ Nos completed the Engineer Advanced course and is currently serving as APMS for Charlie Co at Maranatha Baptist Bible College. MAJ Nos received his promotion to MAJ in June of 2009.

MAJ Nos currently lives in Berlin, WI and is married to the former Gianna Vargas of Encinitas, CA and has a son Kiernan who will be 13 in Oct 2009.
