MAJ Schultheiss was born in Fond du Lac WI, and grew up in Hartford, WI. He attended Hartford Union High School from 1984 to 1988.

Military Experience: In July of 1988, he joined the Army as an enlisted man. He served two tours in Germany while on active duty; two years in Fulda Germany with the 11th ACR, and two years in Wiesbaden Germany with the 12th Avn Bde. Upon his completion of active duty service, he joined the Wisconsin Army National Guard. At the same time, he enrolled in college at the University of Wisconsin - Whitewater, where he earned a degree in International Studies and was commissioned through the ROTC program. He has been in the 121st FA in Sussex and the 64th ROC in Monroe as an NCO. As a commissioned officer, he has served in the 1158th Transportation Company, the 732nd Maintenance Battalion, and the 732nd CSSB. MAJ Schultheiss is currently the MSII & MSIII instructor at Maranatha Baptist Bible College.
